This program will meet periodically to consider fresh ideas being addressed in the media. We will view lectures, interviews, concerts, and art exhibits from some of the great “ideas festivals” (such as TED talks & 92nd Street Y interviews) exploring the creation of conscious lives.
All families are welcome to come and enjoy Family service! These services are always community-friendly, musical, and open to all! They are an hour-long, featuring songs and stories. Each month a different class from the Synagogue School will be leading the prayers.
A havurah is a small friendly group. We join together to build connections, create community and help make the world a better place. Each seasonal Havurah meets three times for social action experiences. Join one, two, or all three seasons of service!
7th-grade weekly meeting, which is designed to encourage the development of Jewish identity. Parents join the classes once a month, and the class starts with a day-long family retreat.
Calling all musicians, singers, listeners, dancers, etc.! Join us for our monthly musical program at RSNS. We’ll learn new prayer melodies together, and explore the deeper layers of the liturgical text and the music. Part rehearsal, part text study, and part spiritual practice, we’ll create community through shared music-making and learning. All levels and ages are welcome.
Join us for RSNS’s new contemplative, musical, and intimate monthly service: Shabbat Circle. The sanctuary will be set up so we can sit in concentric circles, creating a new experience of community and sound. Solomon, Cantor Eric, and our congregant musicians will lead us in exploring new soulful and spirited melodies for the Shabbat service. The service will include moments of meditation, reflection, and readings that help us to release the week and enter into Shabbat. While the service will be accessible via zoom, we hope you’ll consider joining us “in the room” for this new experiential service.
At B’Yahad, parents learn with Rabbi Jodie, Cantor Eric, or Morah Rebecca about how the weekly Torah portion can apply to our lives today, while the kids engage in fun, interactive learning with one of our skilled synagogue school teachers. At 10:15am we come together for a brief Shabbat morning service.
