MITZVAH DAY 2004
Sunday, November 14th

As fall arrives, it is time once again to think about that wonderful event in the life of our synagogue, MITZVAH DAY. The 9th annual Mitzvah Day takes place SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 14th. By now, you have all received your Mitzvah Day booklets outlining all of the projects. We have the return of Project Ezra; their seniors are looking forward to returning once again and we will be doing two projects with them this year. We have included many of our previous projects some of which, such as Warm Up America, have become year round projects. Some new projects have been added to this year’s program. We will be planting bulbs at the Terrace, a residence for autistic children that is our neighbor at the rear of our property. The Landmark on Main in Port Washington has a very interesting project for us. They need our help in documenting the location of each commemorative brick that was purchased in honor or memory of someone special. Please return your forms promptly so that each project leader can plan early on, especially in those cases where food items and other supplies have to be purchased.
