1001 Plandome Road Cantor's Corner by Eric SchulmillerNovember 2003I’m writing this on the eve of my wedding, still glowing from the wonderful celebration on Friday, October 10, when Sarah, myself and our families had the honor of sharing our happiness with our extended family – the congregation of RSNS. So many of our family and friends commented on what was already so well-known to us: the warmness and generosity of our congregants, the humor and intelligence of our rabbis, and how fortunate I was to have found such a special congregation. To tell the truth, I had suspected there was a reason why this feeling of finding my beshert had felt a bit familiar. Coming fresh out of cantorial school, I was lucky enough to continue full time in the community where I spent my final year as a student cantor. Over the last four + years, I’ve had the feeling time and time again that I had indeed found a great match in RSNS, for all the reasons described above, and many others. So, to make this short and sweet, I’ll just end by saying that Sarah and I look forward to sharing and creating many more meaningful moments together - as a couple, and as a community. See you all on Mitzvah Day! (Sunday, November 16th) Back to Cantor's Corner Archive |
